Often employed as a curing agent for epoxy resin, it significantly enhances the strength and weather resilience of the pivotal component in wind turbine generators—the blade, so as to extend the lifespan of the blades, facilitating the ascent of "green power" through wind energy.Product Features: Low viscosity, high hardness, good color stability, and robust resistance to chemicals, water, and oil.Application Fields: It is widely used in high-end epoxy, composite materials and wind power industry.Application Scenarios: Wind turbine blades, epoxy flooring, sealant, and composite materials.Aliphatic diisocyanate (ADI) and its derivatives: Since the use of paints in the Stone Age, paint materials have undergone continuous evolution, transforming into highly specialized chemical products. However, isocyanate, a crucial ingredient in paints, contains toxic benzene rings, limiting its application. To address this issue, aliphatic diisocyanate (ADI) and its derivatives emerged. Not only do they lack benzene rings, but they also outperform traditional benzene ring isocyanates in mechanical properties, stability, and weather resistance, and exhibit non-yellowing traits and superior application performance. These attributes render them widely utilized in industrial and automotive polyurethane coatings. Presently, ADI and its derivatives experience a substantial surge in global market demand, indicating promising prospects. IPDIBasic Introduction: One of the basic raw materials for the production of polyurethane.Product Features: Improves the light aging performance of produced products, offering the benefit of a non-yellowing attribute.Application Fields: Leather, inks, adhesives, 3D printing, high-end coatings, and wind turbine blades. HDIBasic Introduction: A widely used aliphatic isocyanate in the polyurethane industry. Product Features: Polyurethane coatings made from this material are resistant to oil and abrasion, and boast qualities such as non-yellowing, color retention, light retention, anti-chalking, and resistance to outdoor sunlight.Application Fields: Mainly used in the production of polyurethane coatings, elastomers, adhesives, textile finishing agents and so on.Application Scenarios: Paint, aviation, textile, foamed plastics, rubber industry, and wind turbine blades.  Green technology stands as the linchpin in achieving eco-friendly and sustainable development. NHU consistently upholds the belief in enhancing lives through chemistry, engaging with the forefront of global scientific advancements and addressing the critical demands of our nation. Continuously delving deeper into the expanse of science and technology, NHU diligently researches, develops, and manufactures materials imbued with environmentally friendly characteristics, aiming to establish a sustainable "green reserve" for future generations and contribute NHU's prowess towards securing a sustainable future for our planet.

      Taurine, a lubricant for life

With the social and economic development, Faster pace of life, and fiercer competition, People are more stressed and tired, And the problem of sub-health has become ever more prominent.  Taurine, which can boost immunity and relieve fatigue has therefore been gaining traction among consumers, and is widely used in daily food, beverage, and dietary supplement to strengthen food nutrition to meet people’s needs. First found in bovine bile, taurine is a β-amino acid converted from sulfur-containing amino acid that occurs in all tissues and organs of human body in free state, especially in the nervous system, heart, brain, liver, muscle and retina.Taurine can be produced endogenously or obtained from food. The main pathway of endogenous biosynthesis of taurine is cysteine sulfinate (the intermediate product of the metabolism of methionine and cysteine) - hypotaurine (through decarboxylase) – taurine (through oxidization). Marine animals and plants are sources of taurine-rich foods, such as sea fish, seashell, sea plant, cuttlefish, octopus, shrimp, oysters, sea snail, and clam.  Lubricant for the brainTaurine is a medium that promotes the information transmission among neurons (nerve cells) in the brain, playing an important role for the development of brain neurons. It also stimulates the absorption of lipids, calcium, and vitamins, effectively improving anorexia and malnutrition. For the immune system, it promotes the growth and reproduction of immune lymphocytes, enhances the phagocytosis of neutrophil over bacteria and viruses, and boosts the immunity of children. However, infants and young children can hardly synthesize taurine as their enzyme system have not been fully developed, thus requiring additional supplement.  Lubricant for the eyesLocated in the retina, visual cells of human body can turn photic stimuli into nerve impulses. As the most abundant amino acids in the retina (accounting for 40%-50% of the total free amino acids in the retina), taurine plays a key role for nerve conduction, and the appropriate supplementation of taurine can enhance nerve conduction and visual function. Lubricant for the mindWhen fatigued, problems like depletion of substance of energy source, imbalance of water and salt metabolism, increase of free radicals, and decrease of biofilm fluidity will occur, resulting in poor mental status. Taurine can regulate metabolism, refresh the mind, and relieve fatigue through functions like increasing the reserve of energy substance, regulating the balance of ions inside and outside the cells, and antioxidation, making it a main functional ingredient of sports drinks.  Lubricant for the cardiovascular systemAs a special amino acid, taurine can inhibit platelet agglutination and lower blood lipids in the circulatory system, maintaining normal blood pressure and preventing atherosclerosis; it also helps to protect the cardiomyocytes and resist arrhythmia, effectively reduces blood cholesterol, and can be used to treat heart failure.Quality productNHU adopts proprietary processes for the production of taurine, which is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly and effectively reduces impurities and waste, contributing to the preservation of a green earth. We constantly improve our sound and scientific quality management system to make sure that the quality of every batch of products is strictly controlled, building a defense line of food safety and human health. Various combinationNHU’s taurine can be used together with vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 to add more energy to functional drinks; with vitamin A and lutein to protect vision; with vitamin D3, vitamin C, and some other nutrients to effectively enhance immunity of human body. New member to the Family! Menthol products of NHU officially launched!

A refreshing companion in our livesMenthol, also known as peppermint camphor, is currently one of the most applied monomeric aroma chemicals in the world. With a pleasant minty aroma and the cooling effect on the skin, it is widely used in personal and home care products, food and beverage, and medicine, among others. In daily life, menthol can be used as an odorant for toothpaste, perfume, beverage, candy, etc., adding flavor to our life. In medicine, menthol can be used as an embrocation to relief local itching and pain and give off a cooling and anesthetic effect locally. When ingested, it can effectively clear away heat and quench thirst, and helps relieve cough and phlegm. Applied when staying up late or having a headache, it can effectively refresh your mind and relieve headache. Over the years, the market demand of menthol’s downstream application has been growing and people’s habit of using menthol products has been forming. At present, about 30,000 – 35,000 tons of menthol are consumed directly per year. Menthol can be extracted naturally from peppermint oil or synthesized from citral, thymol, myrcene, etc. Naturally extracted menthol has unstable yield and high cost, therefore cannot meet the growing market demand. In comparison, synthesized menthol has stable yield and low cost, therefore is favored by downstream businesses, and is the key development direction in the future.  Menthol developed by NHUNHU sticks to the concept of integrated, serialized, large-scale, and coordinated development and the demand-driven R&D mobilizing resources in and out of the company. Since the lab scale test in 2012, we have made several breakthroughs and finally successfully developed the whole processes of menthol production in 2022. β-Carotene , Promotes Milk Production Effectively

For a long time, milk has always been an important source of high quality protein, calcium. As a result, milk appeared on the table of thousands of families.Since living standards getting higher, there is a higher requirement for quality of milk. A good cup of nutritious and safe milk comes from healthy dairy cows, and healthy dairy cows are dependent on balanced nutrition. The findings of scientists’ extensive researches show that β-carotene has a positive effect on the fertility and health of cows. Carotene, which got its name from the rich red-orange pigment in carrots, has three isomers – α, β, and γ, among which β carotene is the most abundant and important in plants and is the most widespread and stable natural pigment in nature.β-carotene enhances cow fertilityThe fertility of dairy cows is closely related to their milk production and can be enhanced by β-carotene, which is found in vegetables, green forage, and some other plants. Cows cannot synthesize β-carotene and have to get it externally through the diet. A number of studies have found that in intensive large-scale farms where little fresh pasture can be accessed, adding the right amount of β-carotene to the daily diet of cows can significantly boost their fertility, which can be shown in the following ways:Supplementing β-carotene to the cows’ feed can increase the concentration of β-carotene in cows’ blood, improve oocyte quality, animate early luteal activity, increase ovation rates, and raise progesterone levels, thus improving pregnancy rates and embryo quality and reducing pregnancy loss and carving intervals in cows.Higher reproductive performance in dairy cows means shorter calving intervals, better herd structure, and higher milk yield, which is essential for the farms to lower cost and achieve sustainable development.β-carotene improves cow healthWith the advances of farming technologies, the average milk yield of Chinese cows has increased from 4.8 tons/year in 2008 to 8.3 tons/year in 2020, reaching the level of developed European countries. The dramatic boost in milk production over the past 15 years has placed a heavy burden on the cows’ physical conditions, causing continued oxidative stress and rising incidence of mastitis and hysteritis. As the most abundant antioxidant in nature, β-carotene can be added to cows’ daily diet to help them resist oxidation, boost immunity, and lower the incidence of mastitis and hysteritis. Adding the right amount of β-carotene to the feed of cows in late pregnancy can increase the concentration of β-carotene in their colostrum, and an early supplement of β-carotene can help reduce the incidence of diarrhea and pneumonia in calves and improve their survival rate. The healthy growth and production of dairy cows is key to the sustainable development of the industry. With its probiotic carotene products, NHU is helping to improve the reproductive performance of cows and the operation of high-quality farms. We expect to drive the industry forward and bring people healthy and nutritious milk products through our β-carotene solution. We believe that an efficient nutrition system is conducive to the reform and innovation of the livestock industry, to which we stand ready to contribute. From farm to fork, we are always here for healthier and more nutritious food.

      Building Quality Farms

The first National Ruminant Feed and Forage Conference and Inner Mongolia Grass-fed Livestock Industry Development Conference was recently concluded in Hohhot. The conference discussed the current situation facing the ruminant industry, analyzed the status-quo, challenges and development trends of the industry, and shared new technologies and products applied to ruminant feed. It showed promising prospects of the ruminant industry.NHU is committed to promoting the sustainable development of the ruminant industry. We help improve the reproduction performance of ruminants and meet the nutritional needs of animal growth and reproduction by adding the right amount of nutrients to feed additive products with great knowledge in science. While ensuring the sustainable reproduction of ruminants and safeguarding their welfare and health, we help generate more positive benefits for farms. At present, NHU's feed additive products mainly contain nutrients like vitamin E, ß-carotene and methionine, which are highly beneficial to the health of ruminants.Preventing Lameness and Improving Hoof HealthLameness is one of the major cattle diseases today. It causes cows to eat less and consequently produce less milk. Ill cows are culled too early in life, and farm incomes suffer too.  Today, feeding biotin has been shown to reduce the incidence of many hoof diseases, including white line disease, sole ulcers, and sand crack. NHU uses biotin as a stand-alone additive or as part of a feeding strategy combined with vitamin E and ß-carotene. This results in stronger hoof horn and greater hoof hardness, which directly reduces lameness and the loss that lameness brings with it.Preventing and Controlling Mastitis Starts with Boosting ImmunityEvery year, udder infections cause massive losses to the dairy industry due to reduced milk production, lower milk revenue, additional treatment costs, and increased early culls.NHU adds vitamin E additive to feed to help build a robust immune system that can reduce a cow’s vulnerability to infections. Vitamin E has been proven to reduce the intramammary infection rates at calving, shorten the duration of mas titis cases in infected dairy cows, and lower the level of herd somatic cell counts.Remove Health Risk and Keep Your Calves Strong and HealthyCalves are a valuable source of income for farms. Producing strong and fast-growing calves and keeping them healthy is an important goal for dairy farmers. Today, diarrhea and digestive disorders are major threats for the health of calves. Increasing levels of β-carotene in cow colostrum effectively makes calves less prone to diarrhea. This is why we add ß-carotene to the dairy cow’s diet to help the calves grow healthily.Improving Reproductivity and Driving Sustainable DevelopmentImproving the reproductive performance and longevity of dairy cows means increased productivity, which has many benefits for farm income and the environment. The addition of β-carotene to a cow's diet can stimulate its estrus cycle, thereby helping to improve reproductive performance and reduce the embryo mortality rates. This reduces the calving intervals and means that fewer non-productive cows are culled. Both help increase the income for farmers.Adding Methionine to Promote Animal GrowthIn addition to synthesizing protein in ruminants that can then be converted into cystine, methionine can also promote cell proliferation and animal growth and improve the immunity of animals.Adding methionine to the feed of dairy cows can significantly increase the lactoprotein content of the milk produced, with no effect on milk fat and lactose; Adding methionine to the feed of beef cattle can significantly increase the daily weight gain. This shows that the addition of methionine to dairy cattle feed can bring considerable benefit.NHU believes that an efficient nutrition system is conducive to the reform and innovation of the animal husbandry industry and is willing to do its part in this process. We focus on the nutritional ingredients and additives for livestock, including poultry, swine, ruminants, and farmed fish. We have developed specific solutions for these species. We hope to advance together with our core customers in different species fields, provide customers with more options and optimized solutions, and create a better life for all.

      PPS + 3D Printing

Carbon neutrality, plastic reduction, green ...... These concepts have become a consensus in society. Manufacturing companies are in action, exploring the possibilities on the path of sustainable development. 3D printing, which has played an active role in lowering energy consumption and reducing carbon emission has risen to prominence. What is 3D Printing? 3D printing, also referred to as additive manufacturing, is an advanced manufacturing technology originated in the 1980s that integrates computers, machinery, CNC and materials. Compared to traditional subtractive manufacturing (e.g. cutting) and equivalent manufacturing (e.g. forging), this mode of production barely has any material waste, resulting in both cost savings and environmental benefits. It can even localize the production and reduce transportation. After paying for the ‘drawings’, customers are able to print the required products locally, thus reducing the need of line-haul and the greenhouse gas emission that comes with it.  Limitations of Traditional Printing MaterialsAt present, 3D printing mainly uses resin and plastics as the materials. The most rapidly developing plastic material, polypropylene (PP), has great potential for application in the field of 3D printing due to its low density, high strength, good heat resistance and insulation, chemical stability and low price. However, the process of melt crystallization causes great shrinkage in PP, which makes it prone to warping and deformation during 3D printing. The final product may therefore be less accurate than desired. In addition, the printed product is of low toughness and high loss, often ending up of having no actual use.  New Materials Driving the Development of 3D Printing Technology NHU’s new material research team has dived headfirst into the emerging field of 3D printing since 2019 and has successfully developed polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), boosting the development of 3D printing technologies.   PPS is a thermoplastic material with excellent performance in heat resistance, chemical resistance, flame retardancy and electrical properties. It has a heat deflection temperature of 260°C and a long-term service temperature of over 200°C. In addition, its chemical resistance is second only to fluorine resins, and it has a V-0 flame rating. When ground into powder, it has high fluidity; when spread out,the powder bed is leveled and smooth, resulting in high accuracy for 3D printing.  According to the R & D staff, the particle size of the material has been one of the key factors affecting the structure and performance of 3D printed parts. PPS micro powder effectively addresses the limitations of the particle size of the material, promoting its application in 3D printing. With excellent thermal stability, PPS micro powder can be recycled multiple times, greatly reducing the cost of printing. This backs up the argument of the pollution-free benefit of 3D printing.  The new PPS material developed by NHU has been widely used for areas of low-carbon emission and environmental protection. For example, PPS filter-bag made of PPS resin has been installed in dust collectors in domestic coal-fired power plants, reducing the smoke emissions of the plants; NEV parts made of PPS materials reduce the weight of the vehicle and its battery and increase the mileage and energy utilization, contributing to sustain
